Volvo Canada Reveals 2025 EX30 Electric SUV Pricing and Features

Volvo Canada has officially released the pricing details for its latest addition, the EX30, marking the expansion of Volvo's fully electric vehicle offerings to a total of four models. Initially presented this June in Milan, the small premium electric SUV is expected to broaden the accessibility of sustainable transportation.

The EX30 boasts a competitive starting MSRP of $53,700, offering customers a fully electric alternative at a price point akin to internal combustion SUVs in the same premium bracket. Multiple package levels are available for added customization: the 'Core' at $53,700, 'Plus' at $56,900, and 'Ultra' at $59,100 for the Single Motor Extended Range variant. Twin Motor Performance options are also available, with the 'Plus' and 'Ultra' packages starting at $59,900 and $62,100, respectively.

Aesthetically, the vehicle mirrors the brand's Scandinavian design ethos. Customers have the option to choose from five exterior colors including Moss Yellow, Cloud Blue, Vapour Grey, Crystal White, and Onyx Black. On the interior, Volvo employs a mix of natural and recycled leather-free materials. Four distinctive interior designs — Mist, Pine, Indigo, & Breeze — are further enhanced by five ambient light settings inspired by Swedish landscapes.

The EX30 doesn't skimp on features either. Standard safety technologies, typical of Volvo's reputation, are in place. The SUV also comes with Google built-in, featuring native Google Maps and Google Assistant functionality, as well as wireless Apple CarPlay. Advanced safety features like the Driver Alert System with Blind Spot Information System (BLIS), Door Opening Alert, and Front & Rear Collision mitigation come standard.

Owners opting for the 'Plus' package will get the additional benefit of a Harman Kardon Premium Sound system, a panoramic roof, 19-inch wheels, and a dual-tone roof in Onyx Black. Those selecting the 'Ultra' package can expect added features like the next generation of Pilot Assist with Lane Change Assistance, a 360-degree Camera with 3D view, and Park Pilot Assist.

Environmentally, the EX30 has been engineered for low carbon footprint and represents a considerable stride in Volvo's commitment to becoming fully electric by 2030 and carbon neutral by 2040.

For the practicalities of Canadian winters, the SUV comes equipped with standard features like a heated steering wheel and heated front seats. Two electric propulsion options offer flexibility for different driving conditions, and the Single Motor Extended Range variant promises an EPA estimated range of up to 442 kilometres.

Canadians will have the option to configure and reserve their EX30 later this fall, with deliveries anticipated for next summer. Those interested in learning more about the EX30 can reach out to us, at Volvo Cars Mississauga, for further details.
